Reclaim Gift Aid

Gift Aid It!Add 25% more to your donation at no cost to you. A Gift Aid declaration allows Dabbagh Welfare Trust to claim tax back on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate to Dabbagh Welfare Trust we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

By ticking the "Yes" box, I agree I would like Dabbagh Welfare Trust to reclaim the tax on all qualifying donations I have made, as well as any future donations, until I notify them otherwise. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year I may be asked to pay any difference. I understand that Dabbagh Welfare Trust will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Dabbagh Welfare Trust receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.

Qurbani in Uganda | Bring Joy to Forgotten Communities This Eid

This Eid ul-Adha, your Qurbani can bring hope and happiness to struggling families in Uganda who live with extreme poverty, hunger and hardship. In many remote villages, people go months without eating meat. Some children have never tasted it.

By donating your Qurbani in Uganda, you’re not just fulfilling a sacred obligation – you’re feeding the Ummah.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“The son of Adam does not do any action on the Day of Sacrifice which is more beloved to Allah than shedding blood…”
– (Tirmidhi)

This act of worship goes beyond the sacrifice. It is a gesture of compassion, mercy and unity – connecting Muslims across continents.

What is Qurbani?

Qurbani, also known as Udhiya, is the sacrifice of a livestock animal during the days of Eid ul-Adha, in remembrance of the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام. It is a duty for all eligible Muslims, and a profound way to demonstrate submission to Allah ﷻ.

Allah reminds us in the Qur’an:

“It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is your piety that reaches Him.”
– Surah Al-Hajj (22:37)

Why Choose Uganda?

Uganda faces serious food insecurity, especially in rural Muslim communities. Many families survive on one basic meal a day. The rising cost of living and limited access to jobs makes meat completely unaffordable.

Your Qurbani will be distributed in some of Uganda’s most deprived areas, where it is most needed. Dabbagh Welfare Trust works closely with local teams to ensure your sacrifice reaches widows, orphans and families who would otherwise go without during Eid.

Each Qurbani animal is sacrificed according to Islamic rulings, after Eid salah, within the days of Eid. The meat is portioned and delivered fresh.

Your Options

  • One goat: Qurbani for one person

  • One cow share (1/7th): Qurbani for one person

  • One full cow: Qurbani for seven people

Every portion you give brings nourishment, dignity and joy to a Muslim family in need.

Fulfil Your Qurbani. Share the Blessings of Eid.

When you donate your Qurbani in Uganda, you are doing more than following a ritual. You are feeding the poor, honouring the Prophetic tradition, and investing in your akhirah.

Trust Dabbagh Welfare Trust to carry out your Qurbani with care, sincerity and full transparency.

Make your Qurbani count this Eid. Feed the Ummah in Uganda.
