Yemen Crisis Appeal – Help Us Save Lives

Right now the situation in Yemen is desperate. There are over 12 million children in Yemen who are on the brink of facing starvation. We need urgent donations for our Yemen Crisis Appeal to provide life-saving food & water aid for the thousands of families in the areas we are working in. Started as an internal conflict, and since 2015-16 it has turned into a regional proxy war between major Middle East political forces. So far over 250,000 people have directly and indirectly lost their lives due to this prolonged crisis.

Reclaim Gift Aid

Gift Aid It!Add 25% more to your donation at no cost to you. A Gift Aid declaration allows Dabbagh Welfare Trust to claim tax back on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate to Dabbagh Welfare Trust we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

By ticking the "Yes" box, I agree I would like Dabbagh Welfare Trust to reclaim the tax on all qualifying donations I have made, as well as any future donations, until I notify them otherwise. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year I may be asked to pay any difference. I understand that Dabbagh Welfare Trust will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Dabbagh Welfare Trust receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.

The sad reality of the Yemen Crisis

The bitter truth about this conflict: the end is not in sight. To be honest, even if the conflict ends tomorrow, it will take decades for Yemen to recover. Through our Yemen Crisis Appeal, you can help your brothers and sisters in Yemen by providing life-saving food and water aid. Right now Dabbagh Welfare Trust is on the ground in Sanaa and Taiz regions delivering food for the poor & needy families. As well as providing food packs we are helping the widows & orphans with your Zakat. Donate generously towards our Yemen Appeal and help us save lives.

Feed Hope in Yemen: Your Food Pack Donation Matters

Looking at the above dark statistics from Yemen, one starts to think there is no way back for the people of Yemen. A Muslim never loses hope, he always waits for the Mercy of Allah. The situation in Yemen is a test for the people of Yemen and a test for all of us. They are living through the worst times but it is our test how we help them in this situation.

Here at Dabbagh Welfare Trust, we know we cannot rebuild the whole of Yemen, but we know we can help one family at a time and this is what we are trying to do. At every food pack distribution, we help a small number of families and make sure we provide them with enough food to survive the month. That’s all we can do.

Donate a food pack and help feed a family in Yemen.
